I noticed during a recent visit to the Amazon website that, although the recommended retail prices are exactly the same for each, the black Nintendo Wii bundle sells for a couple of quid more than the “normal” off white Wii bundle. Apart from the colour, everything’s exactly the same – you get the same console, the same controllers and the same games all bundled in the package. So – for some reason it looks like people are prepared to pay a little more for nothing more than a different colour. Maybe it’s so that the Wii console will match their TV and DVD player (Wiis tend to be kept in the living room).
