Stretching is often overlooked but a key component in any bjj strength and conditioning routine. Many jiu jitsu fighters swear by the benefits of a regular and lengthy stretching session as an increase in flexibility often leads to an increase in skill development and expands there grappling game. I have just started stretching and have noticed what a ways a have to go before i am even remotely flexible. I have decided to do three sessions of stretching daily with a duration of thirty minutes each one. This coupled with a better diet and post workout recovery should assist me in reaching my goals of being able to do the splits.
