I filled for chicago workers compensation six months ago and I still can not get my claim to go through. I am at my limit right now. I can not afford to pay all of the medical bills that I have and I can no longer work in my field. My next step is going to be hiring a lawyer who specializes in this. I can not believe that it has come to this. I worked for the same employer for ten years. I was a great employee and since I got hurt they just want to have nothing to do with me.
