There are many independent living communities in the US. Many states have them and it is a good thing to look into them to see what is offered. They might vary some in their housing and activities. As I am reaching that age, I am looking into this. Right now I live in my own home but it is quite expensive. With the economy down, my house payment and bills were too much so I did do a home affordable plan and got it lowered some. However, I still think I will check into one of these communities. You can get a apartment or a home.
