I love Paris. When I found out that my aunt had gotten me tickets to visit her for the summer I was ecstatic. paris flights are the best if you know how to speak French. My french isn’t that good but I learned a lot while on the plane. When I got to my aunt’s little apartment, we decided to go out for dinner to celebrate my safe arrival. I was shocked that there was no diet Pepsi anywhere there. She asked me a lot of questions about the flight and then tested my French speaking skills by letting me order. I think I did okay because we got the food we wanted.
I have to go to Florida for business and stay for about a week. I am hosting a seminar for about five hundred people. I was doing a research project for my college geography class on Costa Rica and I kept running across mentions of apartotels. I didn’t know anything about an apartotel costa rica. From what I’m reading while trying to do Internet searches on different engines, it’s like an apartment and a hotel combined. Does that mean that it is apartments sent up in a hotel-like building? Does is mean that it’s an old apartment building that is set up as a hotel? Or is it more like a hotel where the rooms are like apartments? I’m just curious now about the whole subject.
I’ve been given a great hotel recommendation by a friend of mine who has family living out in Dubai at the moment. They often suggest places for friend’s to stay while visiting and one in particular has come out a favourite time and time again. It’s Atlantis, The Palm – a luxury resort which apparently boasts everything you could wish for from a five star hotel. It has 17 restaurants, lounges and bars, shopping, kids clubs, a waterpark and other marine based attractions – and that’s just for a start. As far as Dubai hotels go it sounds pretty good to me!
I love New York City. There is so much to do, so much to see, and so much fun to be had. The days almost disappear when you are in Manhattan, and for nights that you aren’t busy watching a Broadway show, you will always want to head over to a rooftop bar in NYC. New York never fails to make me feel glamorous with the great little eateries, bars, great shopping, and of course Central Park. Even the pizza in New York is better. After a few days of the busy city, I’m always ready to go home, but I know I’ll always be back.
After all the time we had spent organizing our trip you would have thought we would have everything covered. I thought we had too. However, just as we were about to walk out the door to head to the airport I realized we had not booked a vehicle. I quickly got on the phone and called up car hire wellington. My company is opening a new branch import office in South Africa. I volunteered for the assignment just to get out of my regular routine for awhile. Going to South Africa was never high on my places-to-see-before-I-die list, but I know the change will do me good. I have just broken up with a girlfriend of five years. New scenery and new people are appealing to me right now. The company will pay all my travel expenses including getting me a vehicle through durban car rental. My lodgings and food expense will also be re-imbursed. Who knows? Maybe I’ll come home with a much better perspective than I am carrying right now.
